ÜBER MICH

All my paintings start with a lot of water. I mix it with acrylic colours and build the canvas layer by layer, dozens of layers deep. It is a slow process, but that’s kind of the point. Landscapes don’t happen over night either.

The vast places I have travelled to are what I keep coming back to for inspiration. Nothing specific, more like the feeling of space, freedom and fresh air a place leaves behind.

Meine Bilder entstehen aus viel, viel Wasser. Gemischt mit Acrylfarben baue ich die Leinwand Schicht für Schicht auf. Das ist ein langsamer Prozess, aber genau darum geht es: er bringt mich so nahe wie möglich daran, wie Landschaften entstehen.

Inspiration finde ich in Orten, die ich auf Reisen gesehen habe. Dabei geht es mir nicht um bestimmte Orte, sondern um das Gefühl von Weite, Freiheit und frischer Luft, das sie hinterlassen.
